Bodog represents everything that is cool about Poker. The brand is uber cool and aspirational, and the software behind it is also very slick.

Attracting a lot of wannabe Poker players, the site is actually fairly fishy – the biggest problem with the site has been it has struggled to get a big foothold in the European market. Despite heavy advertising and marketing, it has never achieved the mass appeal of PokerStars or FullTilt.

Having said that, it is still operating in the US where it does have some mass appeal. Bodog Poker has announced it will be pulling out of the US market in 2012.

The success of Bodog Poker originally rode on the back of its even larger sportsbook business – this means you are likely to find a lot of fish there, and some big spending ones at that.
